My background in education began after completing a Nursery Nurse Qualification, I cared for four children as their nanny for a year. Following this, I enjoyed working in a large Nursery School with a great team of people and some amazing children. Having decided that I would like more responsibility, I trained as a teacher with the subject specialism of Science. The next few years I taught several year groups, gaining AST (Advanced Skills Teacher) status and was given many whole school responsibilities in a large Primary School (350+ children). The variety of opportunities and experiences I received in the school was remarkable. Moving on, I was successfully appointed as Deputy Head in a small Primary and Nursery School (100 children). After enjoying many years as Deputy and then finally experiencing the last year as Acting Head, I was appointed as Head Teacher of Edmondsley Primary School.
